Dividend Champions List

25 or More Consecutive Years of Dividend Increases

Dividend Champions are companies which have increased their dividend for 25 or more consecutive years. Unlike the the Dividend Aristocrats , Dividend Champions are not necessarily members of the S&P 500 index.

The Dividend Champions List was created by Dave Fish (deceased 2018) and now maintained by Justin Law. More information is available at The DRiP Investing Resource Center , a non-profit organization.

The Dividend Champions list (currently 141) is much larger than the Dividend Aristocrats list (currently 65). The goal of the Champions list is to identify all U.S. companies that have increased their dividends paid for 25+ consecutive years regardless of their size.

There are 144 companies on the 2022 Dividend Champions List:

Dividend Champions & Stock Picking

Stocks that have increased their dividend for 25 or more years are going to draw investor attention; they are proven winners. They obviously have been doing a lot of thing right.

However, the fact that these have been successful companies means, their stock price might be higher than the value they provide. In addition, some smaller Dividend Champions might have problems that are unique to smaller market capitalization stocks.

That is why you should analyze and compare stocks before blindly buying any stock, even one with a great track record. The Dividend Value Builder Newsletter ($99/year for 24 Issues) provides estimated intrinsic value, margin of safety, projected 5 year total annualized return, risk / stability grade, dividend safety grade, & earnings quality grade for 300 stocks.. It’s a great approach to getting started with your due diligence before making important investment decisions.
